Anaheim Outlook
The Anaheim Ducks have started the season with three consecutive wins. They will play Arizona for the second time this season already. The Ducks traveled to the desert and earned 1-0 win over the Coyotes last Saturday. The Ducks then beat the Red Wings in a thriller, which went to overtime and then a shootout. Troy Terry converted during the shootout to give the Ducks the win.
Jakob Silfverberg leads the team with five total points(1 G + 4 A) and Maxime Comtois leads the team with two goals. Both have three-game point streaks. Pontus Aberg cleared waivers this past Sunday and was assigned to the San Diego Gulls yesterday.
Ryan Getzlaf(lower body) did not play in the Ducks home opener and it’s still unknown the extent of his injury. He hasn’t been added to the laundry list of current players that are on the injury reserve list, which include: Patrick Eaves(shoulder), Max Jones(hand), Ondrej Kase(concussion), Ryan Kesler(hip), Kalle Kossila(hip), and Kevin Roy(Upper Body). Corey Perry(knee) and Korbinian Holzer(wrist) were both placed on the long-injury reserve list prior to playing Arizona last week.
Ryan Kesler did skate at the morning practice on the third line per Joshua Cooper of the Athletic. According to Randy Carlyle, it’s up to the doctors as to whether Kesler plays tonight. He is a game-time decision per the team.

Arizona Outlook
The Coyotes haven’t played a game since their defeat to the Ducks last Saturday. Arizona is still looking for their first goal of the season as they were also shutout by the Dallas Stars. The Coyotes have 71 total shots through their first two games so generating shots hasn’t been the issue. They need to look for more secondary chances and they need to get things going on the power play, which is 0-for-6.
