Anaheim Outlook
Patrick Eaves made his season debut when the Ducks played the New York Rangers this past Thursday. His return to the ice was spoiled when the Ducks lost in a shootout. Anaheim rallied each time in their last three home games but eventually lost all the contests. The Ducks losing streak is now seven games. The franchise’s longest losing streak is eight games which happened in 1996 and 2011.
Max Comtois skated yesterday at practice with Brian Gibbons, Isac Lundestrom, and Ben Street. Comtois could be off the injured reserve(IR) list within a week according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports. Ondrej Kase (concussion), and Carter Rowney(upper body) are also still on the IR. Nick Ritchie and Josh Manson both have upper body injuries and have missed the last couple of games. Kalle Kossila was reassigned to San Diego on Friday.
Pontus Aberg and Jakob Silfverberg share the team lead in scoring with four goals each. Ryan Getzlaf(2 G + 8 A) and Rickard Rakell(3 G + 7 A) both lead the team with 10 total points. These four players may have to do the heavy lifting tonight in order to end the losing streak.

Despite just being one game over .500, Columbus sits just three points out of first place in the Metropolitan Division. Josh Anderson leads the team with seven goals. Cam Atkinson had six goals. Sergei Bobrovsky was in net last night so the Ducks could see Joonas Korpisalo tonight.
