Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks ended their losing streak by beating the Blue Jackets this past Sunday 3-2 in overtime. Cam Fowler led Anaheim to victory with his first career hat trick. He also became only the second player in NHL history(since 2010/11) to score a goal during 5-on-5, 4-on-4, and 3-on-3 play in one contest. Hampus Lindholm also did it last season. Ryan Getzlaf did not play in the contest and is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Sam Carrick was called up just prior to the game and played.
The Ducks are also still without Max Comtois(lower body), Ondrej Kase(concussion), Nick Ritchie(upper body) and Carter Rowney(upper body). Josh Manson(upper body) was placed the on injured reserve list yesterday. Pontus Aberg and Jakob Silfverberg share the team lead in scoring with four goals each. Rickard Rakell(3 G + 8 A) leads the team with 11 total points.

Los Angeles Outlook
The Kings have had a rough season so far and this past weekend Head Coach John Stevens was fired. Willie Desjardins will be the interim coach for the rest regular season according to general manager Rob Blake. The Kings have the lowest scoring offense in the league averaging just 2.15 goals per game. They give up 3.46 goals on average against, which is 9th worst in the league.
Jonathan Quick had surgery on a torn meniscus in his knee last week and is out indefinitely. Jeff Carter, Anze Kopitar, and Ilya Kovalchuk lead the team with four goals each and will try to propel the Kings to victory over Anaheim.
