Today Troy Terry was selected to the AHL All-Star Game. Terry co-leads all AHL rookies in points(31), assists(19) and game-winning goals(3).

In October Terry appeared in six games with Anaheim but didn’t record a point. Once he was sent down to San Diego he began to heat up. He established a club record 11-game point streak from October 19th through November 23rd recording 16 total points(7 G + 9 A). He also had a four-game goal streak in November(9th through 21st), which is the longest goal streak by a Gulls rookie.

Recently Terry had a nine-game point streak in December(8th through 30th) recording 12 total points(4 G + 8A). He has scored 12 goals and registered 19 assists for a total of 31 points with the Gulls. He has played in 27 games in San Diego and leads the team in points, assists and ranks second in goals.

Practice Report

Patrick Eaves and Rickard Rakell were spotted skating at practice today. Eaves and Rakell skated with Ben Street on a fifth forward line according to the OC Register’s Elliott Teaford. Street was placed on waivers yesterday and cleared them today. He remains with the team for now.

Cam Fowler was on the ice practicing again per multiple reports. It appears he is getting closer to returning but isn’t expected to play tomorrow against Vegas.

Randy Carlyle is hopeful that Rakell will pick up the pace at tomorrow’s morning skate, but it’s unclear if he will be ready for tomorrow’s game. Rakell still remains on the injury reserve list.

Korbinian Holzer also practiced with the team per the Athletic’s Eric Stephens.

Corey Perry has been working out but is not skating yet.

Prospect News

Yesterday all four of the Ducks prospects were eliminated from the World Juniors Tournament.

Maxime Comtois and Team Canada lost in overtime 2-1 to Team Finland. Comtois played in five games registering 6 total points(5 G + 1 A) and was +4.

Lukas Dostal and the Czech Republic were eliminated by Team USA 3-1. Dostal was 2-2-0 with a 1.25 GAA, .957 SV%, and 1 SO in the tournament.

Sweden was upset by Switzerland and lost 2-0. Olle Eriksson Ek was 1-0-0 in the tournament with a 1.00 GAA and .909 SV%. Isac Lundestrom recorded 5 total points(2 G + 3 A) and an even on ice rating in 5 games.

According to the Swedish media “Hockey News”, Lundestrom will finish the rest of the season in Sweden with team Lulea.
