Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks hit the road after an unusual homestand. Anaheim hosted the Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues last Tuesday. During the first period, Jay Bouwmeester collapsed and it was determined he had a “cardiac episode”. He was transported to the hospital immediately and stabilized. He underwent a defibrillator procedure to prevent any future abnormal heart conditions. The game will be rescheduled in the future.
Two nights later the Ducks faced the Flames and got blown out 6-0. One has to wonder if the Bousmeester incident had anything to do with Anaheim’s performance against Calgary.
We discussed this and more on the recent podcast: Ducks Deadline Decisions.
